    Received
    funding for Healthy Girls of United Way of Greater Milwaukee

    Created an aquaponics at the Loyola Family Campus

    Opened a greenhouse at the Filiberto & Carmen Murguia Family Campus with support of Milwaukee Urban League SAY program

    Added new supporters from Westbury Bank, American Family and Wisconsin University System

    Opened an Early Head Start program and hired 11 new full-time positions. Offering services to 78 new children

    Received a summer 2010 grant from Earn & Learn Project, offering 7 new youth job positions.

    Hired a full-time Fund Development Coordinator

    Launched a video production course at Centro Hispano High School

    Renovated Housing for the Elderly facilities with new kitchen cabinets, appliances, updating of the community room,carpeting, new flat screen TV's and energy efficient windows and new lighting.

    22 High School students graduated from Centro Hispano High School

    Renovated Hillview building's 3rd floor community room, now available for professional development and rental needs for community activities

    Now offering Spanish G.E.D. courses in Adult Education

    In partnership with the H.I.R.E. Center, staff member, Javier Dorantes, of the Council for the Spanish Speaking taught computer assisted industrial design class for LISTO project to help Spanish speaking workers improve their technical skills. Media: Journal Sentinel Online

    The social service department hosted a successful Thanksgiving Food Drive offering 1200 families a food box(es)

    1000 parents & children enjoyed a day to honor and celebrate children and their well-being at the annual El Dia del Nino celebration

  • Received $5,000 from Patrick & Anne M. Cudahy Fund for Guadalupe HEad Start summer program 2010.
