Thanksgiving Food Drive


Since 1969, the Centro Hispano Milwaukee has dedicated its time to a Thanksgiving Food Drive to provide food box(es) and a gift certificate to a local supermarket to economically challenged families. In 2011, the Centro Hispano provided 1100 families with a food box and gift certificate to El Rey Groceries or Pick n' Save

How to apply?

General application intake takes place at the Centro Hispano. Bilingual Social Services program at 614 West National Ave., Milwaukee, WI.

Dates: October 29 - November 15, 2012

150% of Poverty rate, 48 Contiguous States and D.C.

For families with more than 8 persons, add $3,740 for each additional person.

Northern boundary= Canal street
Southern boundary= Oklahoma Avenue
Eastern boundary = Lake Shore
Western boundary - 43rd street

You will need to bring the below items:

1. Proof of household income

2. Current utility bill or rent receipt

3. Valid photo I. D. or ITIN for all adults you will claim

4. Birth certificate, school I. D., or forward card for dependant children you will claim
