Immigration Reform

Mayday March in Solidarity May 1, 2011, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Recent actions by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are causing many Latino-serving nonprofit's to advocate on behalf of immigrants who may be going through the process of naturalization during the time, for instance, of a raid. Because we live in a country of laws, it is extremely important that every individual is advised of his/her rights and has access to appropriate immigration resources.
This web site is directed mostly at residents of Wisconsin and, particularly, participants in programs sponsored or directed by the Council for the Spanish Speaking, Inc. The Council runs programs in 13 community sites and has its headquarters at 614 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53204 (telephone 414-384-3700).
We encourage you to read the documents, articles and court cases related to immigration and to visit the web sites of organizations that specialize in immigrant issues. You can begin with those listed on this site.
